She has designed numerous exhibitions and books, most recently Stolen Moments: The Photographs of Ronny Jaques, written by Town & Country Editor-in-Chief Pamela Fiori. She also worked with Richard Avedon and designed Richard Avedon Portraits, Evidence 1944-1994 Richard Avedon and Woman in the Mirror. Other photographers she has designed books for are Mary Ellen Mark, Christopher Baker and Francois Halard.
Previously, Shanahan was the Art Director at French Vogue, GQ and Rolling Stone.
